What is Spyware? It just sounds bad!

For a good Spyware description, check out Spychecker. Spyware doesn't know who you are, but it does keep track of where you (as a nameless statistic) go on the Internet. The worst part of Spyware, however, is that it slows down your Internet connection tremendously and also causes advertisement popups.

Perhaps you've heard of the following programs:
Bonzai Buddy
Gator
Imesh
Morpheus
Kazaa

All of these programs come bundled with Spyware.

How do I check to see if Spyware is on my computer?
The easiest way is to download a program called 'Ad-Aware'. Unfortunately, Ad-aware is not frequently updated and is starting to fall behind. There are other free Spyware removal tools available on the net and a quick Google search will probably be helpful if Ad-Aware isn't solving your problem.
